Today at USAO I learned that waking up early can be a challenge. Summer and 8 a.m. just don’t go together.
At some point, everyone is going to have that dreaded eight o’ clock in the morning class. Many find it difficult to drag themselves out of bed and I am one of those people.
My typical morning routine consists of feeding five dogs, getting myself ready and getting an 18 month old ready. There are many days that I wish I could just sleep in.
It is a known fact that going to class increases your grade. If attending increases your grade, then it is important to go. I made a list of tips that I use get up in the morning.
1. Take a shower the night before. This is helpful because it cuts down the time it takes to get ready.
2. Set your clothes out the night before. This is important because you won’t be digging around looking for something that is clean.
3. Get your essentials together the night before. Things like your book bag, your purse, etc.
4. Go to bed early. I know this seems crazy but going to bed at a decent hour makes it easier to wake up in the morning.
No one really wants to go to Summer school but it is just part of it. Here are some things that I use to get myself motivated to get up and go.
Want some advice? Get your butt up and go to class. We only have six more weeks left!
