Where do You Go in the Storms of College and Life?

Whether it is fire, wind, water and quake, perhaps a family tragedy or a life changing event, where does a person go? Our first thought general speaking of is to our loved ones. We want to be assured that all is well and safe. This is our peaceful treasure of security, knowing we are all safe and sound and alive.

As a new college student I have found my self in a new storm of life. How do I stay focused and in touch with learning when I am going though personal storms and tragedy? It's not at all easy by far, fear and pain can really block your mind. As in life we all have to keep on keeping on. That's life.

What do you do? Where is your safety net of comfort? They do have counselors at school, which are there for you to talk to. People that have been there too, they too can give you strength and help. Your classmates can also be a gift of help and comfort. Believe it or not they could be going through some form of problem or struggle, dealing with a different kind of storm. Talk, talk, talk to some one that you can trust, is one of the healthiest problem solving solutions. It can be a hard thing to do, but you need to find some way to release this tornado in your head and heart.

So, how do we get past these storms of life and school? I am still processing this lesson of life. The quote of President Roosevelt " The Only Thing to Fear is Fear Itself" is one of my Dads favorite quotes. Which tells me, keep on trying, keep on working, try to stay focus and the fear and storms will pass. :)
